About Jodhpur
Located on the periphery of the Thar desert, Jodhpur is second largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur. According to one fable when Lord Rama, hero of the Hindu epic Ramayana wanted to cross the ocean to rescue his wife Sita, who had been abducted by the demon-king Ravana, he was turned back by the Sea-God.

Himmatgarh palace , Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer – rising out of the heart of the sprawling, desolate and inhospitable Thar in an intricately sculptured yellow sandstone marvel. The camels, shifting sand dunes, temples, havelis, bazaars and palaces, the tinkling anklets of women, the swirl of bright colourful skirts, proud turbans and smiling faces, all form a part of the romantic ambience, which pervades Jaisalmer.
With people still living in ancient buildings dating back to the 12th century, the place transports you back in time to the past.
Himmatgarh Palace offers all modern conveniences in this ancient town. The hotel Himmatgarh Palace built of the same yellow sandstone as the fort is a perfect counterpoint to the desert. Himmatgarh Palace is situated just outside the fort, right opposite Vyas Chhatris (or the sunset point as it is called) the hotels provides a breathtaking view of the entire fort.
