Laxmi Vilas Palace, Bharatpur
Situated in Bharatpur (Rajasthan, India) and set amidst the sprawling 50 acres, and surrounded by undulating, yellow mustard fields, the Laxmi Vilas Palace was built for Raja Ragunath Singh, the younger brother of the then Bharatpur ruler, Maharaja Ram Singh. For some one to cross seven seas and come to Bharatpur there must be a reason. But the Siberian cranes won't tell. Their almost regular arrival in Bharatpur continues to be confounding riddles. Popularly known as sibes, the cranes undertake an arduous 5000 kms long journey from Orb river basin in Siberia and arrive in Bharatpur.

Accommodation
At the Laxmi Vilas Palace, Heritage hospitality goes beyond the narrow parameters of well-appointed rooms, period décor, antique furniture and the best of creature comforts. Our style is equally distinguished by homely warmth, personnel involvement and unfailing attention to various intangibles that define the rich and varied heritage of Rajasthan in general and Bharatpur in particular.

Dining
An aroma that waters your mouth when it is dinnertime floats and walks over from kitchen. The heritage hotel famed for its churma and other traditional dishes offers readily tasty dishes, while treating every dainty inmate most cordially. An experience never to forget, a memory always to last. We have often been complimented for providing a wide variety of choicest cuisine to the palace guests. This however is only part of picture. Personal supervision and attention of the family ensures that the highest standards of hygiene are met in the palace kitchen. Nothing but only farm-fresh vegetables from the Palace goes into preparing meals. And if you wondered why the cottage cheese tasted so mouthwateringly different, remember it came from our own dairy.

Recreation
The swimming pool along with the children's pool at the Laxmi Vilas Palace is a popular spot to spend your evenings. Jacuzzi is provided for refreshing bath. Take a stroll in the vast gardens of the hotel. The hotel also makes arrangements for special candlelight and theme dinners. You can take a trip to the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
